Stopped by after visiting th Oakland zoo with my boyfriend. Parekoy Lutong Pinoy serves comforting Filipino food that really hits the spot. The sisig is flavorful and satisfying, the lumpia is crisp and delicious, and the pinakbet tastes fresh and well seasoned. It’s a bit pricey, but the quality makes it worth it, and it’s great to support a local business.

Actually I want to give a ZERO score. My first time to try this Restaurant. Their SISIG was terrible as many reviews call it chewing pieces of rocks. Very true, small pieces of dried up pork, no fatty richness. There were no aromatics but dried up onion. There was no flavor, not citrusy or savory. Worst Sisig I have ever tasted.

We live in El Cerrito and drive down for Parekoy. Faves are the pork and bangus sisig. For brunch the beef tapa is top tier— marinated, thinly sliced and seared served with garlic rice.

Overall, other than being a little bit on the smaller side of space. They offered Good customer service, it didn't take long to get the food after ordering, but it was fresh and tasty. I like going there. Parking is not as easy as you have to park on the side street, but other than that it was a really good experience. Can't wait to go there again!

If you haven’t been to this place yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? GO GIVE THEM A VISIT :D This restaurant is a hidden gem on the roads of 14th Street in San Leandro… and I had never heard of Parekoy’s until my boss told me ALL about how seared and marinated their Kare Kare was (which, by the way, is one of my FAVORITE Filipino dishes). It is surrounded by quite a bit of shops with empty storefronts, but with it comes lots of sarap and good luck, destined to make your taste buds JUMP into a whole new dimension. When ordering drinks, you DEFINITELY gotta try out the guava juice — freshly squeezed and, without any doubt, fresh on the cup when you drink it. The guava juice definitely helped my taste pallet — to enjoy the FULL experience that was given not only to me but also with all my coworkers that were there too. The Lumpia Shanghai and Chicarron Bulaklak definitely was a NEW experience for me — I thought that it honestly was fried pork fat that MELTED in my mouth, and left a very slick taste. We also ordered their ultra special dish: their Crispy Pata Kare-Kare. The sauce tasted a LITTLE nutty, but that’s what I liked about it: the thick texture sauced on top of the Kare Kare is
